A New Year...and a 1 year old...

First let me say to all my clients, family and friends....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! It was a crazy run though December, and I am only just now catching my breath. I am finishing up some longer term projects during our winter hiatus. During the months of January and February, Blip in Time is closed for business with the exception of my newborn and baby plan clients. It's a time to rejuvinate...refresh...update and get ready for the busy spring and summer months. If you are planning a spring family session my book will open up on February 15th...Also, Class of 2010 seniors keep checking back on the blog as I am going to be having some great senior specials for those seniors who do their sessions this spring and summer. Fall was so busy this year that clients were actually turned away...to avoid this I would like to encourage as many seniors as possible to book early!!!!!

So, in spite of my "closed" sign being up....I have had a few cuties in the studio. This little boy is just so yummy! Shane is celebrating his first birthday this weekend and as a surprise for his mommy his aunt brought him in for a birthday and "SMASH THE CAKE" session. There are just TDF!!!! Shane couldn't have been a better subject...funny, sweet, happy and animated....what more could you ask for (oh, and let's not forget the killer blue eyes). So here is a peek at little Shane's first birthday photos....enjoy! Happy Birthday Shane.

Seniors keep coming...

although the next posts will be among the last of the class of 2008 Blip in Time Seniors! I have worked with the greatest seniors this year. Everyone I have worked with has been so much fun, smart, interesting and ready to take on the world and do some good!!!!!

This latest crop is no exception. I have filled the studio up until the Christmas holiday with the last minute seniors, although each of these seniors plans to join me outdoors and on location for a full session in the spring. I can't wait!

The studio now includes this pretty cool brick and stucco wall. It has that urban vibe I love...looking like an alley way, or the back wall in a New York loft. It's lots of fun and helps change it up a bit!

Here's Carlie....3 months of chubby goodness! Carlie is such a cutie pie...Her entire face just lights up when she starts laughing...and if you tickle here under the chin she belly laughs....it's hysterical! We tried some pics out in my new Urban Studio set, which I thought was just for seniors, but ya know...I kind of like that Urban Baby vibe...

This is Reid....I have posted Reid MANY times before as he comes back to visit every three months. He is 6 months of sweetness. Such a happy little guy....I could just eat him up!!!

Fresh and Beautiful...and only 6 days old. This is Eddie...Edward III....another sweet and beautiful baby. He did such a good job. She was really awake most of the time, but as content as i have ever seen a newborn. Congratulations to Kris and Ed on the birth of their first child!

I spent a lot of time with this family a few weeks ago taking what would eventually be their holiday cards...NOTHING like what you see here. Crazy and fun (but I am not going to post any because I would hate to spoil the surprise)...we did however get some wonderful family shots at our session, and mom even pulled out these classic holiday dresses for the girls. They couldn't have looked more beautiful! I love these in the black and white conversion because they remind me of a time long tone by.....

Jodi has done an amazing job in creating a quick and easy way to create blog collages 1, 2, 3!!! I am now addicted to seeing what I can do with these things. HaHa! It's always fun to have a new toy.

Baby Ellie has finally arrived....

Mom and Dad have waited a very long time for this little one to arrive! Baby Ellie is finally here, and her parents couldn't be more excited. You can just see it on their faces. Ellie was adopted from Taiwan, and visited my studio after only being here in this country less than a few weeks. Boy what a content little girl. One would never imagine that she had just crossed the Atlantic, and was living in a new home...it's like she already knew she belonged in their loving arms. She is so sweet and happy and obviously adjusting amazingly well. Ellie is already showing an interest in being girly...with a strong love of all things PINK! Welcome baby Ellie...may your life be filled with love and happiness.

Meet the "B" girls....

Bekah and Brittany that is....These girls were some of my seniors from a few weeks ago. That's how crazy it's been. Bekah's pictures were done at Sharon Woods where we had a great time with her mom. This sessions was little different from her sister Ashley's we did last year when I think the temperature maxed out around 30. That is an all time record for me. Bekah couldn't be more different than her sister, and so was her session. This petite blonde is a compeitive gymnast and coach at CGA....and just so much fun! Thanks Bekah for a great session.

Brittany did her session in our own little downtown Mason. I just love downtown, as I am always finding secret little nooks with beautiful light! Brittany was the perfect model. Her eyes are in the running for the biggest and bluest ever. WOW!!!! We really had a lot of fun running around downtown, and her pictures are stunning. Brittany I hope you will like them as much as I do!!!!

and get two great seniors! This is Jared and Kelly. Jared is a member of Mason High Schools Varsity Swim Team and has just decide to sign early to attend and swim for the University of Pittsburgh. Way to go Jared. Jared is also a member of the Mason Manta Ray Swim Team where he is on the National Team!
Kelly is also a water guy too, but not swimming...it's all Water Polo all the time! Kelly is a state recognized H2O polo player and is also looking to continue his exceptional career at college. Kelly remains undecided. Kelly grew up around the pool...his dad is actually the Mason High School's Swim Coach and Water Polo Coach...so I guess it was only natural that he would gravitate to water. Other water related client news....a few of my other clients (all swimmers) have just announced they have signed early to attend and swim at some fabulous schools....Mary will be attending Georgia Tech....Brenden will be attending University of Kentucky....and Michael will be attending Georgia Tech as well. Congratulations Manta Ray Swimmers .... I am so glad we had the chance to work together, and it's been so fun watching you since you were freshman and to see all this happening now! You should all be very proud of your accomplishments!

When I was in a bind and needed help with the kids Stephanie really stepped up and offered to watch the kids for me after school so I could take on more senior sessions. She has been a life saver for me and my business...soooooooo....thank you Stephanie for everything you do...YOU are wonderful.

Stephanie and I went downtown to Spring Grove for her session. It was such a beautiful day at such a beautiful location. She looked so lovely, and I just love her pictures!!!

I love my job! It's like being a grandmother...so to speak. These amazing little babies come in...sweet as can be...beautiful, yummy in every way....they get to visit with me, I hold them, love them and then I send them home. It doesn't get any better than that! Colton was just that...a yummy, sweet little guy with a beautiful family!! They are all so taken with their perfect little miracle! Big brother Gabe is so darling too, and completely in love with his new baby brother. Mom is so happy and then there is Dad...now that had to be the single most moving thing that I have seen in a while. Dad looked at that little boy with such awe that it was the kind of moment you remember forever. It was such a joy to spend a few hours with this lovely family and soak in some of their joy. Baby Colton was just wonderful...pleasant the entire time....and alert like I haven't seen in a 4 day old in a while. He was awake the entire time (well maybe all but about 10 minutes). Welcome baby Colton...I am so happy to know you and your beautiful family.

Kirsten and Emily have been with me for a year now.....working as representatives / spokes models for Blip In Time. You probably recognize their pics, as we have had numerous fun sessions over the year....including the first of my BFF Sessions. Emily joined the group first, and has been a wonderful member of the team. She has been a great advocate, and a darling model. Emily has KILLER BLUE EYES!!! Emily is a member of both the Mason Cross County and Track Teams and a State Level competitor at that (it's a family tradition for Emily!). Emily has helped me out in a number of ways, even assisting during the four bridges swim team photos this summer!

Kirsten...now what can I say about Kirsten. If I could pick another daughter....she'd be it!!!!! Kirsten is so fun...and such a go getter. She has been another enormous asset to the group and not shy about promoting the studio. We have had a blast working together. Kirsten is the Business Manager for the Chronicle Newspaper, as well as on both the Cross Country and Track teams for Mason HS. In her spare time (haha) she has actually become my regular assistant, trekking along with me during family and senior sessions. My right hand so to speak! I don't know what I'd do without her.

Well...here are my beautiful girls Kirst and Em....and a little fun stuff we did together as well. They are like Charlies Angels with the blond hair/blue eyed combo...and her dark haired counterpart!

busy busy busy....that's what continues to go on here. I will say though....I have the nicest clients and they make busy a very "good busy"..... everyone is so fun to work with an even when I am tired, I get there and they "pick me up!" It's such a good feeling. There has been an amazing amount going on from Newborn babies (3 just this month....and at least two more on the way very soon), to maternity, families and seniors. Christmas season is in full swing at blip in time, as is Cheer Season for my Emma, and Swim Season for my Katie....not to mention the regular stuff that comes with the territory when your the Mom of 4 kids!!!!! No complaining though....I wouldn't have it ANY OTHER WAY!!!!! So here is a look at just some of what I have been doing....perhaps briefer narratives than usual (there is just no extra time for bloggging....sorry)....BUT....each session has been just as wonderful than the next.

Mandy....Another wonderful Mason girl! Mandy is a creative soul. Writer for the Mason HS Chronicle Newspaper, and actress. Mandy is super involved in school and is currently preparing for her latest Mason production "You can't take it with you!" We had lots of fun at Sharon Woods, covering both the historic Heritage Village Museum, and the Harbor area. I hadn't been to the Harbor in a while, so it was really fun to play around down there again. Thanks Mandy for a really fun session!!!

Corin....I LOVE a senior girl that is willing to try something new and have a little fun. Corin let me drag her to a little spot I have been eying up for a while now....with NO HESITATION!! I was so psyched...and the pictures didn't disappoint. The graffiti on these train cars complimented her personal style which is FUN FUN FUN!!!! Thanks Corin for a fabulous session!

Jenny....

What a sweet girl!! and beautiful too...... Jenny amazed me, she had so many different looks. This is one girl who a change of hair or expression truly changed her entire look. It's so cool. As I go though her pics I see all the sides of her!!! So pictures with her hair down, she looks so young, sweet and innocent....change to a serious look and she looks so mature and pensive....then hair pulled back and she is different yet. WOW!!!! So fun for me! Jenny is a member of the Lakota West Swim Team...and everyone knows how much I love swimmers! Jenny it was such a pleasure to work with you. I hope you like your pics too!!!!

fun maternity.....

nothing is more fun that meeting first time parents before the birth of their little one (for me at least). It gives me a chance to really get to know them, and them me, prior to the biggest life changing event they will ever experience. It gives us the chance to talk about everything related to them and the baby and when they come in with their brand new little one, I feel connected already! Does that make any sense??? This is Kris....and her sweet little baby bump. We had some fun during her maternity shoot...keeping it very light hearted! I am really looking forward to meeting their new little one (boy or girl????) some time after mid November.

some children do that...they stop you dead in your tracks and you gasp...because they are just so beautiful. These children did that to me. The babies of my 1st grader's teacher (mrs. c) ....and I feel so blessed that she asked me to photograph them. Thank you Mrs. C for all that you do every day for my baby, and all the children, and for entrusting your children's memories to me! I truly feel honored.

This family is amazing. Mom and Dad are so warm, relaxed and loving, and the kids were just plain old adorable. They are both so beautiful, with perfect skin and features and eyes as wide and expressive as you could ever imagine. Little Bradley was still to young to really play at 8 months, but Kate....what can you say about Kate...a gorgeous little firecracker! That kids is PURE FUN!!! She was expressive and adorable and I had one of the best sessions ever with them! Now I am addicted and can't wait to have a chance to shoot with them again. Thank you all so much for such a wonderful session...I hope you enjoy your photographs as much as I do!!!!!

baby jax, came into the world at the beginning of October to parents Andrea and Brian, and big brother CJ. Big brother CJ, now that is just amazing to me! It seems like only yesterday that CJ was born. Mom was my son's fifth grade teacher, and he came into the world that school year, and I became his "photographer"! Mom is such a wonderful teacher, and gives so much to the kids, that I was anxious to do a really good job for her...my little way to say thank you. Fast forward two years....almost to the day... in between I have captured CJ so many times....first family photos, first birthday, 18 months and boy is he grow....so here we are, and my daughter is now in that same class, and low and behold Miss A was having baby #2. Welcome CJ's brother....the perfect little bundle....Jax (Jackson). What an amazing sight to see this growing family together, especially to see CJ with his new brother...baby loving baby. It's moments like these that take your breath away. Congratulations Andrea, Brian and CJ.........and of course Jax.....you are part of such a wonderful family, and it was my honor to capture your first moments. Jax was only 4 days old in these...and oh so beautiful.

Well....I am totally overwhelmed....but in the best way. Things continue to be so busy, and I have had one amazing session after another. These seniors are just fantastic. They have such amazing spirits...personalities....intelligence. I am impressed over and over with their poise, confidence and overall maturity. They have made each of these sessions so fun for me, and I cannot thank them enough for allowing me to take their senior pictures. Well...here goes. Meet, Lauren, Molly, Sarah, Mandy, and Jake.

Lauren is so sweet. She was a delight to be with, and has a really fun spirit. Lauren loves music, and just hanging out with her friends...and She is a HUGE Pittsburgh Steelers fan !!! Lauren and her closest friends plan to join me this spring for a BFF session...I can't wait!

Here's Molly!! Irish through and through....can't you tell by her inviting smile and sparkling green eyes!! They were probably the greenest eyes I have ever seen! Anyone who knows my work can attest to the fact that I am obsessed with eyes! They really are the window to the soul, and Molly's are light hearted, sweet and warm. Just like her!

What can I say about Sarah. Isn't she gorgeous. Sarah is so sweet. Beautiful on the inside and out, and you know it the second you meet her! She is another Irish beauty...Dark hair, fair skin and piercing blue eyes ! Just brilliant actually...they jumped right off the screen when I opened her files. WOW! Sarah is a competitive Irish Dancer, which amazes me! One of these days I have to watch!

Hey Jake! Jake is a starting member of Mason's Varsity Football team...and an all-around great guy. A little more on the quit side when you first meet him, but he really opened up a lot as we slogged around downtown Mason with him and my assistant Kirsten. He swears he cannot take a decent picture, and well...I beg to differ. I think his pictures are great, and I hope he does too!!! I can't wait to see what Jake does next year....he is planning on following in his Dad's footsteps and playing some college ball...What a hoot it will be to see him on TV!

it's been CRAZY!!! In all good ways of course, but crazy none the less. October is birthday month here at the Hulbert Household. My Emma turned 7 this month and celebrated ROCKSTAR style with her little friends, and Riley, my oldest and only son turned 13 last week. Where has time gone. I went to wake him the other day for school as stopped dead in my tracks when in my head I was thinking "little boy" and in reality, what slept in his bed was a handsome young man. YIKES! Riley celebrated with 15 friends at Dave and Busters and boy was it ever a bash. Riley and Emma...I love you both so much. Happy Birthday!

To add to the nuttiness...as if four kids aren't nutty enough, I have been doing 4-5 sessions a week. They have been soooooooo.....much fun, but the work-flow just keeps coming. Blogging has feel slightly behind (sorry guys), but the flip side is the images are fabulous. Here are a few from some of my latest seniors.

This is Joyce....Isn't she beautiful! Joyce is the President of Mason Class of 2009. As of today, she is deciding between two universities....either Yale or Duke. WOW!!! Gorgeous and smart!!!! What a combination. On top of that she is bubbly and lots of fun! A delightful young woman to spend an afternoon photographing! I am so lucky to meet suc great kids!

This is Brenden. Brenden is a senior at Lakota West, and the oldest son of one of my dearest Cinci friends...otherwise known to my littlest ones as Auntie Gail! I love B! His personality just cracks me up....It's fun to sit with him in the stands watching the younger ones swim....It's a hoot to listen to him. Brenden is looking at UK and hoping to swim there!!!! Brenden is on the swim team at Lakota West, and is also on the Mason Manta Ray's where he swims for Coach Ken (Quinn's daddy) below! B also has a flair for the creative....and has participated in numerous theatrical productions over the last years. These kids are just so well rounded!

if Zach doesn't swim in college, perhaps a modeling career is not far behind. He was completely at ease with the camera...it just came so naturally! Zach is another amazing kid. Member of the Mason Water Polo and Swim Teams, as well as a Mason Manta Ray ! Zach is another kid I have known over the past 4-5 years and it's been crazy to see these kids go from middle schoolers to getting ready to leave for college. Crazy! Zach is still decided where he intends to go to school, but no doubt it's all great things on the horizon!!!!

Haley......

You may remember Haley from our "mini rep session" earlier this year. We'll senior year is here, and we finally had Haley's "real" senior session. It was great. I enjoyed being with Haley and her Mom (also my friend) Phillis...at Sharon Woods Heritage Village. Everyone was so relaxed....that's why I think we got so many great images! These are a few of Haley that I absolutely LOVE...and one of my signature Polaroid shots. On request I do one of these for my seniors. They are a lot of fun, and add just a little whimsy to a session!!!! Haley is another Mason High School Varsity Swimmer, as well as a National Team Member of the Cincinnati Marlin's Swim Team. Haley was also an assistant coach this summer for my very own little swimmers at Four Bridges! She is a great student, great athlete and all around great girl! Thanks Haley for such a fun evening!!!!!

Quinn..........has it really been a year?

Where does time go. I know I always refer to these moments as little blips, but it's when this happens that I am reminded exactly how quickly time flies. Quinn has been my little client since he was just few weeks old. Look to the right on my blog and you will see his cute little baby face in the blue and white hat. It really feels like yesterday that I took that photo, and now look at what a cute little toddler he has become (and incredibly good too...happy and sweet for over two hours)! Two thing have not changed...ONE...he still has the BIGGEST, ROUNDEST beautiful eyes on a little guy and the most expressive little face...and TWO....his parents are completely and absolutely in love with him. It was so fun to watch them together. I am honored in this job to watch these families grow...over time and in numbers. It's what makes it so unique! I truly am blessed. My clients become part of my heart, and it moves me to see Quinn's images, and can't wait to continue to watch him change into a little man! It's really no different than the seniors I have know for a long time...it stops you in your tracks...wow! I have some new siblings coming up soon too, which will I am sure evoke similar emotion, watching my once newborn clients with their newborn little brothers or sisters. It's crazy really. Just ask about the little blips baby plan if you have a new one coming, or know someone that will want to chronicle the first year of their baby's life. It's such a treasure! Happy Birthday Quinn!!!!!!! You are the ultimate cutie pattotie!!!!

This is Taylor....Mason High School Class of 2009 Senior. We had a lot of fun at his session at Sharon Woods....lots of laughs. Taylor has the best personality, but what was great to see is all the laughs he shares with his mom. They obviously have an amazing relationship. Taylor is a member of Mason's Football team as well as the Lacrosse team. It was fun to finally meet him because he has been life long friends with one of my other clients...and now I can see why....what a fun group of guys! Thanks Taylor for a great session.

Mason High School Senior Kelly joined me (and her mom too) out at the Heritage Village last week for her senior portrait session. It was simply the perfect night to take pictures...just enough breeze in the air, not too hot, not too cool...perfect and the images are perfect too! Kelly was lots of fun, and we found some "new" little nooks along the way...places soon to become some of my favorite little spots! Kelly is so sweet and bubbly...it's easy to see how she became a Comet Cheerleader! Thanks Kelly for such a fun session. I hope you like your images as much as I do!

I have known Mary for some time now....her entire family actually. Mary is a member of the Mason WaterPolo team and Swim Team, and also on the National Team for the Mason Manta Rays, the year round swim team that my own daughter swims on! Mary is such a sweet girl, and more on the quiet side. She was pretty shy about her pics at first, but she brought along one of her BFFs to help out and that was awesome....Meg did a great job helping Mary relax and just laugh, and once she did the pictures started to get amazing! Mary has the bluest eyes they just sparkled! Her pics are so pretty! Thanks Mary and Meg for a fun day!

Jake

Well....I always said this kid was going places and that is proving to be true! Jake, son of our good friends right here in Mason, is an aspiring model and actor. About a year ago, I worked with Jake to create his portfolio, and things have gone well for him. So well in fact that he's has moved on to the next level. Jake is auditioning for all kinds of work and is really doing well with his new venture. He came to the studio this week to capture a few new images. These had to be images that had the feel of an advertising promotion, but without text and NO logos allowed. I think we did a good job capturing Jake using his I-Pod, skateboard, surfboard and his cell phone. As always it was lots of fun working with him (and his mom too) and I am very excited to see where this latest opportunity takes him! Thanks to his mom for continuing to consider me as "Jake's Photographer". It's an honor!

Rebecca....

First I need to thank Rebecca for her patience! Not so much during her session (which went amazingly well...and was lots of fun)....it was the "after" where she was the trooper. Before Rebecca's session I was ahead of schedule...actually WAY ahead. That was just too good to be true I suppose because the Sunday following our session the winds blew in, and the power went out. The outage challenged us all in more ways than one. I definitely was shut down here at the office, and my mothering skills required a whole new level of creativity. The good news is we are back on track and I had the most amazing session to edit once the lights were back on.

I had such a hard time narrowing down the choices for Rebecca. She is stunning! She took one gorgeous picture after another. We had a really good time on our Downtown Mason Trek...enjoying so much of what our own little town has to offer! Downtown Mason is my new favorite location hands down!

So thanks Rebecca...for an amazing session and for your patience. I hope you like your pictures as much as I do!!!!

This is another great senior and one of my 2009 Mason reps. I have known Brian since we moved to Mason, and he was in middle school. and OH MAN am I starting to feel old!!! Brian is an all around great guy, and the only son of my friend Karen! He also has two adorable sisters! We had a lot of fun with his Mom at Sharon Woods last week. They are just so much fun, and totally laid back! It's really nice to see such a warm and care free relationship between a mom and her son. When laughed a lot! But I kept looking back...when I met Brian he was in 8th grade...pretty much a little boy....and about the same age as my own son. If that doesn't throw you, I don't know what does. Can we stop this? It's so amazing to see families come together! This is the second "family reunion" of sorts that I have had the privilege of photographing. The last family was large...and close....and this one is no exception. You have the absolutely gorgeous grandparents, their four amazing children, and 12, count'em 12 grandchildren...each more beautiful than the next! They were so fun, happy to be there, and really amazingly cooperative. Those kids definitely get the gold star for behavior. They ALL did that they were asked to do, and we got a lovely family portrait for their grandmother. I have to tell you that is so unusual to get that many kids looking in one direction for a photo and they all did! They made my job much easier. I won't ask what the Mom's and Dad's did to get them to cooperate...perhaps a trip to the whippy dip...I am just going to believe that all 12 were just that great, and get some tips from the parents! So anyway, meet the DeGroft clan...all of them! and thanks to the DeGrofts for entrusting me to this important task. I hope that you enjoy your new family portraits for many years to come!

Baby Carlie is HERE !!!!!!

It's finally happened....After what seemed like eternity, Baby Carlie has arrived. My family has been close to Mom Emily for some time now, so this arrival was extra special! Emily was my daughter's swim coach, and was, once upon a time even our babysitter. It's hard to believe that she is now a Mom to this beautiful baby girl. She and her husband Steve were on cloud nine when they came to the studio the other day. Carlie was only 5 days old, and was incredible. Not a peep out of her, and she slept for the vast majority of the session. She made us all smile. She really looks so much like her daddy, but I can see Mommy there to0!

I look forward to seeing Carlie grow over the next year as she is going to participate in our "watch my grow...baby plan". Look back in about 3 months and see how much she has changed!

Congratulations Emily and Steve. She is perfect and beautiful and I wish you all a lifetime of happiness and good fortune!!!!

Meet Bailey....

Class of 2009 Senior Bailey is another great kid I have had the pleasure to work with. She is just such a naturally pretty young lady with the bluest eyes I think I have EVER seen! Bailey is a member of the golf team this year and is very involved in school. She is an all around great girl, and I know that she is moving on to really big things!!!! I remember Bailey as an 8th grader...so it's even hard for me to believe she is a senior. Where has time gone? I can't imagine how her parents must feel. This family has truly entered my heart. If you are a blip blog follower you may remember Michelle and Jason's very high risk pregnancy, and my relief filled post and photos of the beautiful newborn baby Reid. All the stuggles are nothing more than a distant memory as baby Reid grows and thrives and is now 3 months old.....and getting more adorable each and every day!!!! I love this kid! He is just so cute and was a smiling little delight at his 3 month session. Mom Michelle and I had a ball playing with him, and until he little just got too pooped out, He was totally into it!!!! A fly on the wall would think that Michelle and I were completely nuts though...lots of silliess!!!! Here is a look at a few of Reid's three month photos....gosh how he has grown...he is even getting a little chubby!!!! Gotta love it!!!!!! Happy 3 month Reid!!!!!!

and coming and coming. Ha!! Since school started back it's SENIOR MANIA! I mean that, it's nuts! I am in the middle of editing the sessions of two great seniors from this past week and I am so excited to share some of my favorites!!!!!

Paul, is a 2009 Senior....and such a great and interesting kid!!!! So incredibly outgoing and well rounded! He had a wonderfully relaxed personality, and we had a lot of fun. I found it amazing that he plans to do missionary work after graduation (as his parents did before him). He is just a wonderful person and I am delighted to have had a chance to meet him and get to know him!

Kiersten is another great senior. This girl photographs beautifully. She is sweet, more quiet and unassuming and just gorgeous!!!!! Here eyes were about the bluest I have ever seen! Once Kiersten got warmed up, it was one amazing shot after another. We laughed a lot, and had tons of fun!!!! I really do love working with the Seniors!!!! The sessions are just great!

This is Stephanie...a beautiful senior from the other side of town.......miles and miles away in West Chester. Stephanie is such a delight...very easy to hang out with, and comfortable with herself...that's why is a brief session of all of 30 minutes, which included walking from one side of town to the other, I managed to get a dozen fabulous shots, and we were even able to try some fun and creative ones as well. I am working on adding at least 1 whimsical photo to each senior session. Even if they just wind up on facebook!

These photos were taken right here in downtown Mason...just using the natural beauty of our own little town. Quaint porches, old brick, beautiful light...it doesn't get much better than that. I am so delighted to have found Mason again. It's such a treasure. Interested in doing your pics in downtown Mason....just ask...I'm ready!!!!

Giving Back...working with Kindervelt for Cincinnati Children's Hosptial

I was so honored when a neighbor and friend asked me to help the Kindervelt 19 Chapter with their annual fundraiser. They wanted me to be their artist photographer that would take pictures of various holes on the golf course that would become the labels on the exclusive Heritage Club Wines that will be auctioned at Kindervelt's Annual Fundraiser. This chapter has done AMAZING work in raising money over the last several years. These women work tirelessly to make the events more and more special each and every year. As someone who has needed the help of hospitals like Children's in the past I jumped at the opportunity to use my talents as a way to get involved. I did at first have a ME???? reaction...they really wanted me to do this important task for them? and once I jumped into the project I was a excited as anyone...or more so as I saw the product of my work. The photos are amazing and I cannot believe that they will adorn these exclusive select wines. Anyone who gets a bottle of this wine should be very excited as well...they are going to be really special. In addition, Kindervelt will be auctioning off 16x20 canvas prints of the same shoots to benefit CCH. The images we chose are above.

When you cannot pick your favorites...because you love them all. My darling client little Miss Emmy and I went out to the Heritage Village last week for part 2 of our studio/location double shoot. She is truly one of the most adorable little girls...both inside and out. She is so full of personality, but equally stunning! Her brother Nick joined in this time...a handsome 13 year old boy, and Boomer...a golden cutie!

As always Emmy and I had tons of fun. This kid is defintiley going places.

Meet Jackson

This is Jackson....he gave everyone quite a scare when he arrived really early....like 8 weeks. It had to have been so scary for his parents, but you'd never know they had a care in the world watching their happiness and interaction. Our session was amazing. Jackson's Mommy and Daddy were wonderfully relaxed and enjoyed ever little smirk and smile their little guy gave to the camera. He was incredibly good with hardly a peep in a 2 hour session. Enjoy this peek of little Jackson...another miracle and just an amazingly beautiful baby boy!

Elyssa is such a great girl, and so artistically talented!!! I look forward to seeing what this girl will do after she graduates....she is a girl after my own heart! Elyssa and I (along with her mom) had a lot of fun in Cincinnati exploring the grounds of Spring Grove, the grabbing a little Urban Action along Spring Grove Ave. This was truly the best of both worlds session! Both groups of shots are so different, but I can't decide which I like better....I guess I will say I like 'em both, or you can decide! Thanks Elyssa for a great session! Meet "C"....we had a session this past week, and it was so fantastic! She was among the most relaxed girls I have had all year! She had the poses down, and made it entirely too easy for me. On top of being totally comfortable in front of the camera, she was so amazingly beautiful and natural. Not a bit of make up on this face...and flawless!

This session was done 1/2 in the studio, and 1/2 on location here in Mason. It was a great balance of shots and definitely adds some extra variety.

Here is a little look at some of C's proofs. I had a really hard time narrowing it down, but I think we have some great ones!!!!!

Busy is an understatement.. Four kids alone is enough to keep you moving, but add a business to that, and an interest in having summer fun....well you start running at a crazy pace. No regrets here....it has been so fun. Every session has been amazing start to finish. I am proofing a few now and can't wait to post some new pics....the kids are having a blast with tons of time in activities and at the pool just hanging...and to add to the confusion/excitement, I took my oldest daughter to the Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha last week. It was the most amazing experience, and I will ALWAYS look back on that trip as such a highlight! Katie and I enjoyed our time together and were inspired by all that was Olympic. We enjoyed seeing Old Friends (coaches and swimmers from our hometown back in California), current friends and teammates, camp counselors and coaches...you name it. WOW! Now that we are back though, it business as usual. I am busier than ever with sessions and just feeling good to be back in the groove! I will share a couple of trials pics here, and look back because I will definitely have many more session photos to share over the next week or two!

This last shot is of my oldest daugher. A quick portrait so to speak. Omaha was a photographers dream...lots of unspoiled historic structures, cool colors, and textures. I was in heaven.

I have been a terrible blogger lately. I admit it. Summer's are suppose to be relaxing, but so far mine is 1/2 over and I haven't had a single moment of down time. Everything is good, but crazy....business is suddenly really really busy again. Senior season is in full swing and I have been working with the greatest high school seniors!

I am going to have to play catch up here, so rewind to last month. Skylar was a participant in one of my BFF sessions and she is such a great girl. Star student and athlete...as well as an all around wonderful girl. I had lots of fun with her and her mom exploring Spring Grove Cemetery. I know it sounds awful, but it one of the most beautiful spots in the Cincinnati area. It doubles as an arbortoreum, so the grounds are just amazing...they even do weddings there at the chapel. The buildings are diverse and beautiful. Just love it there. So don't let the name scare you....interested in a session there? Just email me!

I was so incredibly lucky to be able to shoot this family. They contacted me last year with the idea that they wanted to do an extended family photo for grandma, who is building a new home in the area. ALL THE KIDS AND GRANDKIDS...9 in all! What an amazing gift. Anyone that works with larger groups, especially with kids involved knows it can be a challenge, but not with this group. In spite of their size, and the fact that there were children involved ranging from Ages 6 to 14...they couldn't have been more cooperative. I was even shocked when I opened the files to see virtually every shoot with ALL the kids looking the right direction. AMAZING. Here is a little look at their session. Meet Reid. My newest and littlest client! Reid is a very special little boy! You might remember his parents from their maternity session a few weeks back (just beautiful). This family is amazing. Mom's pregnancy was very high risk and she was on bed rest for about 4 months!!!! That didn't stop them in anyway for preparing for this little guys arrival. The maternity photos were awesome and I received the call that Reid was born (just a little early) ...healthy and perfect... just moments after his arrival (I even got to see his very first pics...YEAH). I cried. I have never had a little one expected that I was so worried about. It was such a relief and joy to know that he came into the world and was OK...and that Mom and Dad were OK too! I have become very very fond of all of them. You can see from the photos that every one is so happy...even little Reid. He gave me that little smirky smile throughout his entire session...slept the ENTIRE TIME...not matter what we did to him and was as content and content could be.

I get worn out just reading the title. These two are so darn cute....with the most amazing eyes and expressive faces. They were ON THE MOVE too! They kept me on my toes, even resorting to putting a caterpillar on my camera to get little "L" to look directly at me. This was at a brand new location for me out in Anderson...It was just beautiful. Thanks to Mom for suggesting it!

Well, if you are a "blog follower", then you likely know the bad news. I have been terrible at keeping up lately! That's mostly because the good news is that I have been incredibly busy with sessions lately. To play "catch up" I think I will post all three today! Sorrry for the overload, but these families are SOOOOOOOO worth sharing! All of them were awesome and I have been having a ball. Looking forward to summer though...and some lazy days at the pool with the kids! Just 7 more school days left.

Holly's BFFs

Our newest offering in our Senior Line-up is the BFF session. This is the 2nd we have had in just over a week, and another schedule for next week as well. They are so much fun, and the word is getting out.

Holly, my 2008 Senior Rep, brought 4 of her very best friends along for some fun and creative shooting! We went to the old Powder Factory in Maineville, then to an old historic home in Kings Mill. 2 really cool locations!

We had so much fun in spite of the conditions, the weather was very cloudy and it was even raining here and there, but that didn't stop these girls from having a ball and looking gorgeous.

Holly will be including some of these shots in her Senior Album (Coffee table book) that she will take away with her to college.

a new baby boy is on the way....

Congratulations to Michelle and Jason who are expecting a baby boy any day now! You'd never know that they'd been trapped inside for the last 4 months from these photos. Poor Michelle has been on bed rest and is beyond ready for her sweet baby boy to arrive. Thank goodness that the rest was successful...everything looks great and the baby is a really good size and almost term (only 1 more week) The bed rest certainly didn't stand in the way of either of them from wanting a maternity session to capture this moment and for wanting it outdoors! This session was so fun and the very first maternity I have ever done outside. The weather was just perfect, and we all enjoying photographing her growing belly in the woods behind their home. The pictures are just so beautiful...just like the Mommy! This couple is just so great, and I am once again so overcome and excited to be a part of this experience with them! I feel like I have known them forever!!! It's becoming involved with people like Michelle and Jason that remind me exactly why I LOVE what I do!!! This weekend is Michelle's shower, then the little guy is expected any time now....Look back to see his very first pictures right here on the blog!!!!!

Blip 2009 SpokesModels...ROCK!

The Mason girls have now completed their Spokesmodel shoots and are ready to take the Class of 2009 by storm (FYI, the boys are coming soon!!!!). and WOW are they all spectacular. I cannot believe these photos aren't even their "real" senior pics.

All the girls were so willing to go with the flow and try new things, and it paid off, with lots of new ideas and some great photos! Both Emily and Kirsten joined me in Downtown Cincinnati for some Urban Senior and BFF Photos, and Haley helped me try out some new little spots (awesome little diamonds in the rough) right here in downtown Mason! Sooooooo....much fun!

I am so pleased to welcome three of the most amazing girls to the Blip in Time team. Each of them is extraordinary...and bring something unique to the table, and they are already collaborating together to make 2009 our best year ever. As you'll see in their pics, each of them are beautiful...stunning in fact, but what you don't see is what incredibly intelligent, mature and articulate young women they are... and ready to work hard! Don't know how I found such a winning group, but I feel so lucky!

Alyson and Matthew: Congratulations!!!!!!!

It's been almost exactly a year since I met Alyson. She was a bridesmaid in another wedding that I shot (her gorgeous cousin Katie), and we quickly became fast friends ! I was overjoyed when she asked me to be her wedding photographer. Weddings are not something I do on a regular basis, but I just knew that Alyson would be so much fun to work with....and I was right!

Alyson and Matthew (and their little pup Milly) had their engagement session with me this summer and their chemistry and love was so apparent! "They just fit" It showed at their wedding as well. They are simply 'two halves of a whole". I was honored to witness this beautiful day along with my friends and fellow photographers (there to lend me a hand or 10!) Kendra Hagaman and Brenda Pottinger ! I couldn't have done it without either of them. They are simply the best, and I am so lucky to have such wonderful relationships with other local photogs!

I have only just begun proofing the hundreds and hundreds of photos from this day, and let me tell you there are so many it's going to be so hard to choose! They are a magnificent couple.

It's been a busy week at Blip in Time, with spring on the horizon...(or at least I hope) and a full week of sessions...lots of adorable kids and babies in the studio!

This week started with such a fun session. Miranda and Kendall are the most adorable sisters. They were just about the best behaved 2 and 4 year olds I have EVER worked with. This can be such tough ages, but these girls were amazing!!! Thanks to their mom Kim, for thinking of everything!!!! They were so willing to sit for the camera ... we all laughed and had a really good time!

I have only started to proof the photos, but one thing is for sure....it's going to be so hard to choose! They are both so dang adorable, and have THE most amazing eyes with long curling eyelashes. So much fun.
